Recap: Leadership in Digital Transformation

The future of work within the financial services industries has been a hot topic this week during our series of events in New York City. In the “Leadership in Digital Transformation” event hosted by TurtleBay Advisory Services, Movius led a fireside chat with one of our global banking customers to discuss the specific problems the firm was looking to solve with their digital transformation initiative. They stated that “we are in 2019, approaching 2020 when the world is being driven by software-driven capabilities, and yet here we are depending on physical proprietary hardware.”

So, as a business leader, what are you then todo? It’s evident that employees are bringing their personal devices to the workspace more and more. They, understandably, want to conduct business transactions on the device of their choice, and globalization has changed how they work. They are often no longer in one central office. They are traveling and need to stay in touch no matter where they are.

Most do not want to add a clunky corporate phone to that experience. This raises significant security, privacy, and compliance concerns. Fines and compliance penalties can sink a firm overnight. If you’re not thinking about how to best protect your firm while enabling your workforce to communicate on-the-go, you are not adequately considering the future of your organization. But with FINRA regulating member firms with requirements to retain, retrieve, and supervise all business communication, how are you supposed to do this?

Enter stage right, Movius. As a software-based solution, we can provide a cross-carrier solution that can meet any security, privacy, or compliance requirements. We can boost your customer relations and maintain business control at an enterprise-friendly cost. As Movius continues to work with big-name clients in the FSI space, we will continue to digitally transform the way in which employees in this space can communicate.

If you’re thinking about the old way of business, you aren’t preparing for the software-driven future sufficiently – a future filled with opportunities that only a flexible, mobile-enabled workforce can provide.

They concluded that “The future of work is not being locked down into proprietary hardware, but it is how you can provide extensibility – what are the possibilities. When talking about software, the opportunity and possibilities are endless.”

We here at Movius are ready for that future.

“If you’re not thinking about how to best protect your firm while enabling your workforce to communicate on-the-go, you are not adequately considering the future of your organization.”
